Jayme Dement Prenger

Director

Jayme joined the Missouri Women’s Business Center in 2022 as its Director, bringing over 20 years of experience in non-profit and corporate management, program administration, and community development. Her extensive background has shaped her into a seasoned businesswoman and a respected leader in her community.

A proud native Missourian, Jayme is deeply passionate about female empowerment. She spent 13 years as a director for the Girl Scouts, working alongside a team of women dedicated to empowering girls to make a positive impact on the world. Throughout her career, she has refined her skills in marketing, sales, grants, budgeting, and relationship management. Over the past two decades, Jayme has held various leadership positions in central Missouri, including roles on non-profit boards and in customer experience, healthcare, and business banking. These diverse experiences have helped her build a strong foundation in customer service and problem-solving.

In her current role at the Missouri Women’s Business Center, Jayme leads a team dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs through skill-building, training, and networking opportunities. Together, they work to break down barriers to entrepreneurship and cultivate an ecosystem of growth and collaboration by partnering with business resource organizations and community leaders.

In the few short years Jayme has been with the Missouri Women’s Business Center, she has spearheaded several impactful initiatives, including the Childcare Business Cohort, The Shops at Sharp End Program, and the newly launched Capital Access Program. Under her leadership, the Center has also distributed over $200,000 in grants, all with the goal of supporting and empowering local entrepreneurs. Additionally, Jayme led the Center to receive the prestigious 2025 National Women’s Business Centers of Excellence Award. This esteemed 6-month program allowed her to dedicate time to strategically plan for the future of the Center, ensuring continued support and empowerment for women in business for years to come.

Though her professional roles have evolved over the years, Jayme’s commitment to her family and community remains unwavering. Her dedication to business development for women is evident through her second term on the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network Leadership Team, where she serves as the Advisor for the Mentorship Program. Additionally, she is a member of the Executive Board for the Boonville Chamber of Commerce, where she actively advocates for small businesses. Outside of her professional and community involvement, Jayme enjoys spending her free time traveling with her family and meeting new people.
